Lee, takes immense pride in manufacturing and hand finishing, every pair of spectacles that are purchased from Dray's Eyecare. Manufacturing our own glasses gives us complete control over the finished eye wear that you receive. As an experienced qualified Optical Techician, Lee can often produce spectacles that you may have previously been advised were not possible. Our Optical Laboratory is equipped with the finest German machinery and combined with Lee's skill, you are assured of eye wear that exceeds your expectations.

If you've had a disaster and need your glasses repaired in a hurry, or if they are beyond repair, we can help, quickly. We hold a large stock of lenses for emergencies and can generally have you seeing clearly again within the hour. If we don't have lenses in our stock and can't use your current lenses, then we can generally get new lenses here, the next working day and only 4-6 working days, for even the most complex prescriptions, from Zeiss in Germany.
RIMLESS MANUFACTURING SPECIALIST
Being a spectacle maker is a real skill and these skills are evident in any technician that manufacturers rimless spectacles. Most practices will despatch rimless spectacles to an external laboratory, that are then processed on large scale industrial machinery. This is satisfactory for many prescriptions but, a time served, qualified craftsman can invariably produce a superior and more pleasing finish, when rimless spectacles are finished by hand. That's the Dray's Eyecare way.

Gaining the Worshipful Company of Spectacle Makers gold standard qualification, the SMC (TECH) accreditation, takes extreme dedication and knowledge. Not only has Lee gained this qualification, but also won the Spectacle Makers prize for the highest marks in lens theory for his year. Lee is Banbury's only SMC (TECH) qualified technician, so if you and your eyes demand the very best spectacles, then Dray's Eyecare is the only place to visit.
